Democratic Republic of the Congo government troops sit and wait after being captured by rebel fighters in the village of Tebero on September 9, 2007.

Fighting between rebels and the military continues to rage inside the DRC's embattled Virunga National Park, one of the last remaining homes for rare mountain gorillas. Recently rebels evicted rangers from the park and even tried to force some to join their side of the fight.
