Photo: Small Melting Glaciers Will Speed Sea Level Rise, Study Says



The accelerating melt of small glaciers, like Alaska's Columbia Glacier, is contributing more to sea level rise this century than the more gradual thaw of ice sheets in Greenland and Antarctica, a new study says.
