Photo: "Unexpected" Man Found Amid Ancient Priestesses' Tombs

A gilded mask (pictured) found on the floor of a pre-Inca Mache tomb in Peru is similar to one that had been affixed to a nearby coffin, archaeologists announced in September 2009.

Inside the coffin was an elite male—a surprise for the excavation team, given that neighboring tombs hold high-ranking females.
