Photo: Bird Flu Strikes at French Identity, Cuisine

Following the outbreak of deadly bird flu in French poultry last week, fears are growing for the Gallic Rooster, long a national symbol. The farmyard fowl is featured on everything from government seals to the jerseys of the national soccer team.
