Photo: Panda Areas Damaged, Destroyed by China Quake

June 17, 2008—A giant panda yawns at Yuantong Zoo, in Kunming, the capital of China's Yunnan province, in this undated photo.

In neighboring Sichuan province, more than 80 percent of the panda habitat was destroyed by a major earthquake on May 12, a Chinese official said today.
