Photo: Icy Moon Tethys Had Ancient Underground Ocean



Saturn's rings appear to slant above the icy moon Tethys in an image taken on October 29, 2007, by NASA's Cassini spacecraft.

New research suggests that the seemingly ordinary moon is among a handful of natural satellites thought to have hosted a subsurface ocean.
