Photo: First Habitable Earthlike Planet Found, Experts Say



An artist's rendering depicts Gliese 581 c, a newly discovered Earthlike planet, in orbit around its parent star. Astronomers say the planet is 50 percent larger than Earth—making it the smallest planet yet found outside the solar system—and likely contains liquid water.
