Photo: Ancient Humans in Asia Survived Super-Eruption, Find Suggests



Archaeologists dig through layers of ash deposited by a giant volcanic eruption 74,000 years ago. The researchers found what appear to be stone tools both above and below the ash layers, suggesting that modern humans persisted in South Asia despite the volcano's devastating effects.
