Photo: Monkeys That Floss With Human Hair Learn From Mom?



A female long-tailed macaque seems to be teaching a baby how to floss using a piece of fake human hair supplied by researchers.

A March 2009 paper describes how the female monkeys slow down and exaggerate their motions when they notice their young watching them floss.
