Photo: Warming to Level Off, Then Speed Back Up, New Model Predicts



A set of three maps shows the differences between observed temperature anomalies between June 2005 and February 2007 (left) as compared to forecasts created by an older climate model (middle) and a new model (right).

Developers of the new model say that warming will actually level off in coming years then speed back up to produce some of the hottest years on record by the early 2010s.
