Photo: New Artificial Reefs "Grow" From Mideast Peace Deal

A diver peeks into the crevices of an artificial reef designed by Israeli and Jordanian researchers in the Gulf of Aqaba in the Red Sea.

The collaborative project, an offshoot of the 1994 Israeli-Jordanian peace deal, is meant to entice snorkelers and divers away from the gulf's stressed natural reefs.
