Photo: Deadly Frog Fungus Spreads in Virus-Like Waves



Red-eyed tree frogs in Costa Rica are just one of many species of amphibians on the decline worldwide.

A main culprit is the deadly chytrid fungus, which researchers recently found moves in waves like other infectious diseases.

The new research challenges a theory that climate change drives the fungus's spread.
