Photo: Smallest Known Black Hole Discovered

An artist's illustration shows the lightest known black hole—about 3.8 times the mass of our sun. Located in the binary system XTE J1650-500, the black hole was found by looking for x-ray emissions generated by in-falling matter from its companion star.
