Disabled Spy Satellite Threatens Earth



The Stardust space probe glows upon reentry into Earth's atmosphere in 2006. U.S. officials say a large spy satellite has lost power and could hit the Earth in late February or early March, creating debris as it burns up on reentry and possibly posing environmental hazards.
