Photo: Daylight Saving Change: Energy Boon or Waste of Time?



The United States will spring forward earlier and fall back later than usual in 2007, as part of an energy bill passed in 2005, which says the shift will help save electricity.

But critics say any energy savings resulting from the plan will actually be very small, noting that electricity needs have changed in the U.S. in the 30 years since data supporting the bill was obtained.
