Photo: Current Hurricane Amount at "Normal" Level, Study Says



A team of divers drills a coral skeleton to collect a sample for study. A new method of looking at coral growth, along with the abundance of tiny fossils in sediment cores, has allowed scientists to reconstruct the past 270 years of hurricane history.
