Photo: Hundreds of Dino-Era Animals in Amber Revealed by X-Ray



Opaque amber blocks from the Charentes region of southwestern France (top) were recently "virtually dissected" using a new x-ray technique.

The method revealed a diversity of trapped dinosaur-era organisms, such as this crustacean (bottom left) and wasp.
