Photo: Wildlife Park Official Arrested in Gorilla Killings

Officials survey four mountain gorillas that were illegally killed in the Democratic Republic of the Congo's Virunga National Park during the week of July 26, 2007.

Congolese authorities recently arrested a senior Virunga park official for his alleged involvement in the execution-style killings, a move that conservationists have praised as a crucial step toward saving the rare primates.
