Photo: Hanna, Hurricane Ike Take Aim at Eastern U.S., Bahamas



Shown in a satellite image, Tropical storm Hanna (center left) swirls just east of the Bahamas on its way to the U.S. East Coast, while Hurricane Ike (center right) is just to the north of Haiti and the Dominican Republic on the morning of Friday, September 5, 2008.

Hanna is expected to make landfall in the Carolinas perhaps as early as the night of September 5. Ike is expected to hit South Florida as a major hurricane the week of September 9.
