Photo: Gorillas Found Tossing "Weapons," Study Says



The scenic Kagwene region in Cameroon is home to Cross River gorillas that come into frequent contact with human farms and pastures.

The great apes in the region have been seen using dirt and sticks as "throwing weapons" at least three times—behavior never before seen in the wild—according to a new study.
