Photo: Climbing as Easy as Walking for Small Primates



Small primates, such as the slender loris seen above, are just as efficient at climbing as they are at walking, a new study reveals.

Using a rope treadmill inside a Plexiglass chamber, scientists put several tiny primate species through their paces and found that the amount of oxygen they use to climb remains consistent with their body sizes.
