Photo: Shrinking Lake Superior Also Heating Up



Lake Superior, which holds nearly 20 percent of the world's fresh surface water, has not only been shrinking—its temperature has also risen.

Some researchers suspect the events are related and may be spurred by both rising global temperatures and a sustained local drought.
