Photo: Marine-Life Hot Spots Shift Over Time, Study Says



Marine life flourishes in a coral reef 50 feet (15 meters) deep in Papua New Guinea.

Concentrations of marine life have shifted over time, cropping up where tectonic plates collide and the climate is friendliest to life, according to a study published in the journal Science in July 2008.
