It is very nice and informative to read the article and picture of whale which are endangered by human intervention and killing.  Let there be efforts to protect the whale which are the giant and beautiful creatures in the sea for the curiosity and  knowledge of future generation.

Truly unbelievable photos!  I live On Hilton Head Island SC.  Went to a seminar at the Discovery Cove.  They migrate off the coast here in June.  They call them the right whale because they where easy catches for the people back in the day that used them for meat & oil.  Oh by the way they are still being killed in some parts of the world.  I do not believe man kind could be so greedy as to think this was the right thing to do?   So sad!!

Amazing pictures, reminds me of the scene of BBC's documentary-Walking With Dinosaurs series, in that documentary, people use CG technology to simulate those giant prehistoric marine carnivorous reptiles, but these are definitely more stunning real pictures.good job!

For those of us with limited means, it is a true blessing to see pictures of nature that almost make me feel like I'm there.

Thank you so much.

Just amazing. We live in Jeffrey's Bay, SA and during July and beginning of December last year had a wonderful view of the whales. We even witnessed the birth of a calf very close to shore, which we were able to view from our  upstairs flat verandah.

Truly awesome picture, probably a once-in-a-lifetime feat. Extraordinary to say the least. Let's hope that some of these gentle creatures will still be around in future years. 5-star photo.

Amazing photos. Such luck involved in the first one, that truly is a once-in-a-lifetime moment. It is sad to think that right whales might become extinct :( I can't believe people would even have the heart to kill such a magnificent creature

I once came face to face with a curious right whale who "snuck up" beside the sightseeing boat I was on in the Bay of Fundy off of Grand Manan Island !Shortly afterwards it snorted and breached much to the delight of all aboard (and apparently the whale as well)! Other right whales were cavorting around Zodiac rafts and other boats. It was a fine and absolutely gorgeous 70 degree day enjoyed by all, including the gentle giants;I'll never forget looking down to see that giant brown eye looking back at me!
