When I was in Alaska back in 1987 stationed at Elmendorf AFB I saw an aurora that was like God shaking a giant rainbow-colored ribbon going all the way from one horizon to the other. I've never seen any photograph anywhere that could even compare to what I saw with my naked eyes that night. It's a memory I'll treasure forever.

I lived in Northern British Columbia for a while & had the opportunity to witness some amazing Northern Lights. If you ever have a chance to head north & see them, it is well worth the trip!
