Taliesin West

Scottsdale, Arizona

Architect Frank Lloyd Wright once observed that his winter home and studio Taliesin West (pictured, the 1940s-era drafting room) "belonged to the Arizona desert as though it had stood there during creation."

Like its Wisconsin cousin Taliesin, the Arizona complex served as a design laboratory for Wright and his students--and was also named on the WMF's 2010 World Monuments Watch List.
