Shizuoka, Japan, August 11, 2009--Mounds of (thankfully empty) beer bottles litter the Sapporo factory floor after a magnitude 6.5 earthquake, which struck just after dawn in and around Tokyo.

No significant damage has been reported due to the quake, though two nuclear reactors were shut down for safety checks and nearly 10,000 homes lost power, the Dow Jones news service said.
