July 14, 2009--A dust devil seems to create a rainbow along the Martian horizon in a mosaic of images taken by the Mars rover Spirit on May 27.

The image is made of three pictures taken seconds apart by the rover with different color filters. Because the dust devil moved between these photographs, the "bands" of the rainbow trace the twister's movement over the red planet's terrain.
