Kennedy Space Center, Florida, July 15, 2009--A fish-eye lens captures the space shuttle Endeavour as it leaps into the sky at 6:03 p.m. ET on Wednesday. In its payload is a "veranda" for the large Japanese lab taking shape at the International Space Station.

The launch had been scrubbed on June 13 and June 17 due to a gas leak (see photo). Postponements on July 11, 12, and 13 were due to weather conditions (see photo).
