Higyikyaune, Myanmar (Burma), May 3, 2009--Workers spread fish on tarps to dry in the sun.

A year after the deadly Cyclone Nargis killed more than 140,000 people in this region, life for many has returned to normal. Foreign aid for the May 2, 2008, cyclone was complicated by the Myanmar junta's initial refusal to accept the aid as well as by the fact that the cyclone damage was quickly eclipsed in international news coverage by the Sichuan earthquake of a week later.
