PHOTOS: YOU WON WHAT? Greased Climbers, Pig Dive, More

Prague, Czech Republic, April 23, 2009--Ripping open cages, a pigeon breeder jolts a few of the 300 contestants into competing in a pigeon race.

The birds were ranked by their average speed returning home, most flying about 30 kilometers (19 miles), according to the Prague Post. First place went to a pigeon that clocked in at 19 minutes, 3 seconds for an average speed of 58 miles (94 kilometers) an hour.
