West Sussex, United Kingdom, April 10, 2009--Breaking the pack with a "tolley," or big marble, a competitor kicks off an opening match in the World Marbles Championship.

The championship has been held on the Friday before Easter Sunday since 1932. Its rules outline fouls such as "fudging"--moving your hand while shooting the marble--and "cabbaging," or shooting from outside the ring.

Large marbles are also known as shooters, boulders, poppers, and mashers, according to the Deseret News of Salt Lake City.
