The Hubble Space Telescope seems to hang about 350 miles (550 kilometers) above Earth, as seen from the window of the space shuttle Atlantis.

"Watching it come for the rendezvous was pretty impressive," one of the astronauts said during a news conference from space on May 20, 2009. "It seemed a little bit surreal but very special to actually get out there and touch it."
