Fayoum, Egypt, April 26, 2009--A worker with Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities examines pharaonic sarcophagi in a rock-cut tomb.

The tomb, dating to the Middle Kingdom (circa 2061 to 1786 B.C.), was recently discovered in the pyramid field of Illahun.
