Sacramento, California, April 13, 2009--Like a Warholian mini-monument, Campbell's cans stand three high on the day Sacramento police handed eviction notices to the roughly 150 homeless people in a tent city.

For years, the residents--many of them with mental and/or drug problems, advocates say--have lived largely unmolested near the California capital's downtown, the Associated Press reported. The camp, however, became an embarrassment for the mayor after it was featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show earlier this year.
