A group of interacting galaxies known as Arp 274 was the winning target of the Hubble Space Telescope's "You Decide" contest, which allowed the public to vote for the next space object imaged by Hubble.

NASA released the winning picture on April 3, 2009, as part of the Around the World in 80 Telescopes event. Hubble's multiple light filters revealed Arp 274 in colorful new detail, showing, for instance, globs of bright blue along the galaxies' spiral arms where new stars are forming.
