This very close-up detail of a new Chris Jordan photomosaic reveals the some of the individual pieces of garbage that make up his homage to Hokusai's "The Great Wave at Kanagawa."

Jordan photographed pieces of plastic trash retrieved from the Pacific Ocean and combined the photos to make the 8-by-11-foot (2.5-by-3.5-meter), three-panel artwork.
