March 23, 2009--Saturn's rings are darkened by the shadow of passing moon Epimetheus in this still taken from video released Monday by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

Taken from about 587,000 miles (945,000 kilometers) away by the Cassini spacecraft, the image had been planned by NASA scientists to gather valuable data about vertical displacement in Saturn's rings and eccentricities in the orbit of its moons.
