EXCLUSIVE PHOTOS: Rare Artifacts Return to Afghanistan

On February 17, 2009, a Red Cross freighter plane touched down at the Kabul Airport, carrying 22 crates of looted treasure back to their homeland.

These crates were delivered safely to the National Museum of Afghanistan.

Returning the enormous shipment took more than a year to organize, and involved the cooperation of participants from around the globe.
