Madrid, February 11, 2009--Oddly ecstatic, an outsize beauty beams down from a giant, manipulated photo by Spanish artist Isaac Montoya at the ARCO International Art Fair as a spectator passes by.

This year's fair organizers are in a bit of a blue mood in the wake of the financial crisis. Sales are down compared to those in 2008, and the number of galleries exhibiting has fallen by 57.
