Jakarta, Indonesia, January 24, 2009--Divers in lion and dragon costumes perform underwater at the Jaya Ancol Dreamland amusement park for the Chinese Lunar New Year.

According to the Chinese zodiac, each year is associated with one of 12 animals. On Monday people around the world celebrated the start of the Year of the Ox, which in Chinese lore represents prosperity and good luck.

Newly inaugurated U.S. President Barack Obama, who is striving to solve the country's financial crisis, was born in an ox year.
