Kogelo residents slaughtered "two bulls, three rams, several goats, chickens and fish" to help feed the thousands of revelers at Obama-inauguration festivities on January 20, the Daily Nation reported.

"Today is the climax. We shall slaughter many more animals if need be, because we do not want our visitors to go hungry," said Vitalis Ogombe, chairman of Obama Kogelo Community Cultural Committee, according to the Kenyan newspaper.
