Poznan, Poland, December 5, 2008--About 200,000 plastic figurines were displayed in downtown Poznan last week, when 9,000 delegates from 185 countries met in the city for the United Nations' conference on climate.

The aim of the conference is to lay the groundwork for a new global climate pact, to be signed in late 2009.

Each figure represents a signature on an initiative, backed by Swedish energy company Vattenfall, that encourages nations and individuals to make changes that will help stave off climate change.
