Goma, Congo, November 13, 2008--Congolese orphans and lost children rest at the Don Bosco Ngangi center in Goma, in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Since late October, rebels led by former Congolese army general Laurent Nkunda have battled the Congolese army in an attempt to overtake the region, forcing thousands of civilians to flee.

Experts fear that the renewed fighting will spark a reprise of the five-year Congolese war, which involved nine nations and killed millions before it ended in 2003, BBC News reported.
