Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, October 31, 2008--People take photographs of a Maaz al Shami, or Damascene goat, which won the Most Beautiful Goat title during a pedigree goat competition.

The event follows on the heels of lucrative camel competitions which have taken off in recent years, according to Reuters.

The so-called Najdi goats have a distinctive high nose bridge and shaggy hair with a fine, silky quality. Most of the goats are bred from one star goat and fetch $26,000 each.
