Near Patagonia, Argentina, October 14, 2008--Their tropical sojourn over, a group of Magellanic penguins cruises to Patagonia's colder waters aboard a Brazilian Navy vessel (video of previous penguin "shipment").

Ocean-circulation shifts, which aren't well understood, have landed more than a thousand birds in Brazil since January--many more than usual.
