WEEK IN PHOTOS: Workers Protest, QE2 Says Goodbye, More

Edinburgh, United Kingdom, October 7, 2008--The Queen Elizabeth 2, better known as the QE2, sails away from the Fourth Rail Bridge on her farewell tour of the U.K. In November, she heads to Dubai to become a floating hotel.

The 77,000-ton (70,000-tonne) QE2 was launched in 1967 and has since traveled more than 5.6 million miles (9 million kilometers), carried more than 2.5 million passengers including royalty and rock stars, and crossed the Atlantic 25 times.
