Fuzhou, China, October 5, 2008--The Priest's House of Fanchuanpu Cathedral, a cultural relic, was shifted 260 feet (80 meters) east and rotated 90 degrees to accommodate a new road.

Engineers first raised the 1,653-ton (1,500-metric-ton) house more than three feet (one meter), a process that started in July, according to the China Internet Information Center.

An Italian priest built the cathedral in 1864. The exterior was remodeled in 1933 in the Gothic and French style.
