October 24, 2008--Russian cosmonauts Sergei Volkov and Oleg Kononenko and American space tourist Richard Garriott return to terra firma near Arkalyk, Kazakhstan.

Their Russian Soyuz spacecraft executed a perfect parachute landing on October 24. Scientists may have corrected the glitches that carried the last two Soyuz capsules hundreds of miles from their targeted landing sites and exposed astronauts to high g-forces.

International Space Station veterans Volkov and Kononenko had been in space for 199 days.
