Budapest, Hungary, October 21, 2008--A four-week-old Persian leopard cub looks into a camera during a media unveiling at the Budapest Zoo. The cub has a twin.

Persian leopards are native to the Middle East. The largest populations are in Iran and Afghanistan, according to the IUCN. The organization lists the cats as endangered.

Ever-increasing habitat fragmentation and loss of prey across the leopard's mountainous range are considered primary threats.
